Senior Data Quality Engineer (Power BI & Automation Testing)

We are seeking an experienced Data Quality Engineer (QE) with expertise in Power BI report testing, ICE Data Quality (DQ), and automation testing (Playwright/Selenium). This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and performance of Power BI dashboards and reports through rigorous data validation, test automation, and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality reporting solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Power BI Report Quality Assurance

• Design and execute test plans & test cases to validate data accuracy, functionality, and performance of Power BI reports.
• Ensure reports meet business requirements and provide actionable insights.
• Work with developers to identify and resolve defects in reports and visualizations.

2. Data Quality (DQ) Testing & Validation

• Use ICE Data Quality (DQ) tools to assess data integrity, completeness, and consistency.
• Create data quality rules to validate data in Snowflake and other sources.
• Investigate and troubleshoot data discrepancies, working with data teams to resolve issues.

3. Automation Testing (Playwright/Selenium)

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Power BI reports using Playwright.
• Automate regression and end-to-end testing for different datasets and scenarios.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.

4. Collaboration & Reporting

• Work with cross-functional teams (Dev, BA, Data) to align testing with business needs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Maintain test documentation (test plans, defect logs, reports).

5. Defect Management & Continuous Improvement

• Log and track defects in Jira/Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution.
• Propose process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and report quality.
• Stay updated on latest testing tools & best practices for Power BI and data validation.
